🔒 EyeRest is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. Your data stays on your device.
EyeRest does not collect any personally identifiable information. All app data — including timer settings, statistics, and achievements — is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and SwiftData.
EyeRest uses Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand which features are used and improve the app.
What is tracked (anonymously):
Aptabase does not use cookies, does not track across apps, and does not collect IP addresses, device IDs, or any personal information. Data is processed in the EU and is fully GDPR compliant.
If you use multiple Apple devices, EyeRest can sync your settings via iCloud (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). This is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure. We do not operate any servers and have no access to your synced data.
On iPhone, EyeRest can optionally write mindfulness minutes to Apple Health. This requires your explicit permission. Health data is stored locally by Apple's HealthKit framework and is never sent to us or any third party.
EyeRest can optionally access your calendar to skip breaks during meetings (Pro feature). Calendar data is read locally using Apple's EventKit and is never transmitted anywhere. This requires your explicit permission.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not collect or store any payment information.

EyeRest does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function.
